Building on the success of his first album ‘Soho Square’, Daniel Biro has produced a brand new set of compositions mainly inspired by the surreal world of French poet Jean Cocteau. Having grown up in the south of France where Cocteau lived and worked, Biro returned there to produce this album in collaboration with the CIRM (Centre International de Recherche Musicale) in Nice. From haunting a-capella voices to pulsating electric guitars and from string quartet textures to solo electric piano, this music has a unique place in the contemporary landscape and is a hommage to Cocteau’s magical visions of mirrors and angels.
