Joseph Anderson (b. 1970, Dayton, OH, USA) resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, and is a member of Analog Devices Audio Rendering Technology group. Recognitions have included a Grand Prix from the Bourges Electroacoustic Music Competition, and he has been commissioned by organizations such as BBC Radio 3, and the UKs Society for the Promotion of New Music.
Robert Dow (b. 1964) is a composer of acousmatic music working in Scotland. At the University of Edinburgh he studied for degrees in Science, Music and Law and studied composition at the University of Birmingham under Jonty Harrison. He has been a guest composer both at EMS, Stockholm and the Technische Universität in Berlin.
Joseph Hyde (b. 1969) uses digital and electronic media to make sonic and multimedia works, installations and performances. Particular areas of exploration in his work are the complex interaction of abstract sound and image, and the integration of interactive technology into live performance. His background in music makes itself felt through an overriding concern with sound and structures in time.
Andrew Lewis (b. 1963) read music at the University of Birmingham, graduating in 1984, and completing a doctorate in 1991. Since 1993 he has been Lecturer at the University of Wales Bangor. Alistair MacDonald (b. 1962) is a composer of electroacoustic music. Based in Scotland, his work draws on a wide range of music which reflects a keen interest in improvisation and the human voice. David Prior is a writer/ producer currently living and working in Devon, UK. He studied composition with Andrew Lewis and Jonty Harrison completing a Ph.D at the University of Birmingham in 2000. More info: www.liminal.org.uk
Pete Stollery (b. 1960) is a teacher, composer and performer based in the north east of Scotland. His work at the University of Aberdeen combines his two passions of sonic art and education, working with students and music teachers to help them become more aware of the sonic nature of their environment. We promote and support a diverse range of artists work with sound through commissioning and exhibiting sonic art, and we provide opportunities for people in the UK to gain access to new technology and to use it creatively to explore sound. Founded in 1979 we are the lead national body for electroacoustic music and the sonic arts and the only organisation of our kind in the UK.
