SIREN CIRCUS

Siren Circus is the sublime voice of composer-twins Cathryn and Lucie Robson. The twins hail from a remote corner of Durham but grew up in urban Canada and the Scottish foothills. Singing and writing music as long as they can remember, Siren Circus’ instinct towards post-modern eclectism has seen them warbling with acid-house artist Ege Bam Yasi to performing Schubert lieder on Classic FM. Veterans of the London underground and arts club scene, including the ICA, The Water Rats, the Plunge Club and Jibby’s Arts Club, the sisters have also performed in Lithuania, Germany, France and North America with recordings of their work going as far afield as China and Japan. They have collaborated with many other artists on dance, film and theatre projects and are part of multi-arts event organisers LUST.

Siren Circus are proud to contribute to the Age-Old Tradition of Song, fusing their musical, philosophical and literary influences within the genre. Their breathtaking vocal virtuosity and wild theatrical performances make them one of the most original acts in today’s song world. “Solid Poems on a Ghost of a Subject” is their first CD release.
